MOMBASA, MARIAKANI AND NAIROBI BUSINESS PEOPLE COUNTING LOSSES AFTER KENHA DEMOLITIONS

Hundreds of business people along Mombasa Mariakani Nairobi High Way Bahati area are counting millions of losses. This comes after KENHA bulldozers demolished their business premises to pave the way for the expansion of the 250 millions Euros Ksh. 31 billion high way.

The business people are now appealing to EACC and the DCI to investigate how Ksh. 6.2 billion budgeted for compensation was used by the Kenyan government.

“Most of us were paid only Ksh. 100,000, yet others with connection with KENHA officials have been paid over Ksh. 27 million. We want the government to investigative the said authorities and establish how Ksh. 6.2 billion was miss used. We are not against the government project, but we don’t want to be part of government officials who have looted from the government.” they expressed.
