Mother emotionally appeals for help to raise school fees for her daughter

Ruth Kasenzu, a mother of five is seeking help from well-wisher to help her raise school fee for her daughter, who is yet to report to her school of choice even after garnering 360 marks in last year’s KCPE.
Dorcas Kasenzu, who was a pupil at Kasina primary school in Mwingi central sub county, Kitui County scored 360/500 marks and was supposed to report to Chogoria Girls high school between 7th and 9th January 2019.
According to the school head teacher, Felistus Itula, Dorcas was among the four pupils from the school who received calling letters to join National schools; however her mother couldn’t raise enough school fees to enable her report to school.
Her sobbing mother Ruth Kasenzu told journalists at Mwingi that her daughter was still at home stranded and she was helplessly watching her bright girl’s future remain in suspense, as she has other children in secondary school who have completely drained her finances.
“My daughter worked so hard thus securing a chance in a national school, but I am not in a position to take her there because I am financially challenged,” sobbing Mama Dorcas narrated
“I have four other children that are still in school and I am the sole bread winner while all I do for a living is vibarua,” she further stated.
On her side, Dorcas Kasanzu urged any good Samaritan to help her future dream of one day becoming a doctor.
“I always work hard in order to become a doctor, I will truly appreciate anyone who helps become a medical practitioner,” the bright pupil pleaded.
