MP wants NYS buses used as an alternative over Michuki rules

Belgut member of national assembly Nelson Koech has called on the national government to offer alternative transport to the members of the public following the crackdown of vehicles which have flouted traffic rules.

Speaking at Sosiot grounds, Kericho County, Koech said he fully supports the implementation of Michuki rules, saying that there should be alternatives, calling on the government to consider availing NYS buses to assist members of the public as it will affect the economy.

He was speaking while launching free mass registration for NHIF to his Belgut constituents where he always donated dairy cows to poor families in his constituency.

He said that the move will assist the president’s big four agenda which includes affordable health.

Koech also called for the resignation of Health CS Cecily Kariuki over the loss of sh. 15 billion meant for the leased hospital equipments.

He said that he will take a bill to parliament when it resumes on Thursday to start the process, saying those involved will be dealt with accordingly.

The Belgut MP said he will not allow anyone to steal from the poor.
