ODM party leaders from Bungoma county are appealing to the Luhya leaders to heed Prophet Elijah Masinde’s prophecy of ascending to power through lake Victoria.
The leaders were addressing the press during handing over of construction materials donated by the former prime minister Raila Odinga for the refurbishment of late prophet Elijah Masinde’s Musoleum that was in pathetic condition ahead of his visit.
Led by the Bungoma branch ODM chairperson Balala Machani also appealed to president Uhuru Kenyatta to recognize the freedom fighter’s family that is now languishing in poverty.
They stated the late prophet had fought for the liberation of the country that led to independence saying his family deserved to be compensated like others a
cross the country.
NEC member Esther Shang’a said leaders from western have failed to heed the prophetic message of the late Elijah Masinde that for luhuya community to lead this country it should come after one from Lake Victoria.
Elija Masinde’s son, Richard wafula Masinde hailed Raila Odinga for the the donation of materials towards the refurbishment of his father’s Mausoleum and rekindled the leadership prophecy by his father adding that they are ready to welcome Odinga during his visit.
