Mumbuni residents reap benefits of the newly launched water projects.

Mumbuni ward residents in Machakos County have benefited from a water project officially launched by the county government. Speaking during the launch of the new project, Machakos Deputy Governor Engineer Francis Maliti said the project will improve the livelihoods of residents as the community will enjoy fresh water for drinking and irrigation. Besides that, already more than six hundred and seventy homes have access to the most valuable resources of their splendid life with the provisions and the government is dedicated to speedy delivery of water in many more areas just to fulfill one of the four Agendas of the government. Residents praised the government saying that for a long time they have been suffering, but now a solution has been found.

According to Maliti, the project will run without fuel energy and electricity as solar energy will be used to pump water in order to raise the value of service and cut down on the price and cost of fuel efficiency.
For some time, residents have been raising concerns over the acute shortage of water and the project is targeted for the local benefits and to be considered for pitching village supplies.
