Court proceedings in Magistrate’s court 2 (Murang’a) this morning were brought to a halt after a standoff between the Magistrate and Journalists. The Magistrate immediately after taking his seat ordered all cameras to be switched off and that all camera persons should leave his court room.
The Journalist were hesitant having followed all media guidelines that are set to cover a case. However, the magistrate seemed not to waiver on his words and asked the police to lead the journalist out. The journalist finally left but not without getting into a minor scuffle with police. The journalist had gone to do a follow up story on the murder of a woman. The suspected murderer had been nabbed by police.
