MUSALIA , WETANGULA HAVE MISLEAD THE LUHYA COMMUNITY FOR A LONG TIME , SAYS OPARANYA.

Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has dismissed ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi’s presidential bid saying he did not have the political muscle to deliver presidency.

He said Mudavadi and his OKA partner from Western Senator Moses Wetangula were going nowhere and asked then to support former PM Raila Odinga.

Speaking in Lugari where he campaigned for Raila, Oparanya said political landscape in the country was taking shape adding that battle for presidency was narrowing to Raila and deputy president William Ruto adding Mudavadi will not make any impact.

He said Raila had assured them that he will run only for one term saying the Luhya community can easily succeed him if they rally behind the former PM in next year’s elections.

He said he will stand with Raila saying the former PM will form the next government which Luhya community should be part of.

Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya wants politicians to aggressively mobolise wananchi to register as voters to enable IEBC attain its 6 million target.

Oparanya regretted that people were nit turning up at registration centers to register as voters since the start of the one month exercise.

Speaking during a tour of Lugari Sub County, Oparanya said he established that registration clerks were sitting idle at registration centers and asked politicians to drive them into going to take voters’ cards.

He said politicians were beneficiaries of the votes and they should mobolise their people to Register
