Naivasha sub-county continues to dominate in the national exams

Naivasha sub-county continued to dominate in the national exams after producing some of the best KCPE candidates in Nakuru County.

It was song and dance in the schools as students joined their teachers in celebrating the results that were announced earlier on by education CS Amina Mohammed.

Rising High Peak Junior Academy produced the top student in Naivasha Wanjohi Ivy Nyambura who scored an impressive 443 marks to the joy and jubilation of teachers and staff at the school.

An ecstatic Nyambura could not hold back her tears when the news that she was the top candidate in Naivasha came.

She attributed hard work and dedication to studies as the reason for her brilliant performance saying she hoped to join Kenya High School and later on become a surgeon.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of my dad who is a surgeon and i will work hard to make sure my dream comes true one day”.

The school principal Godfrey Mwangi noted that out of the 118 students who sat for the national exams over 50 students had scored 400 marks and above.

He attributed this to hard work, co-operation between the teachers, parents and students and commitment from various stakeholders.

“We are glad that we have continued to dominate in terms of education in this region and we cannot take this for granted and we thank God, parents and students or the win,” he said.

This was the same in Little friends Academy in the lake side town where the top students were Grace Wanjiku 441, Otwori Moraa 439, Muntet Simiren 426 marks.

In Nakuru County, schools from Naivasha produced some of the best students in the exams with no case of anomaly or malpractice reported.
