Nakumatt for sale: Broke Nakumatt F.C keen to secure interested buyers

Kenya Premier League Side Nakumatt F.C is keen on securing interested sponsors or buyers including those who would like to change the clubs name. The team that was once touted as the money bag of Kenyan football is currently feeling the heat as their sponsors Nakumatt Holdings are battling to stay afloat in the supermarket business.

The Club Has endured tough financial times in the last 1 year with players refusing to take to the pitch 2 weeks ago in their match against Chemilil Sugar.

According to club secretary general Albert, the cash crunch at the club has reached tedious levels, and that they are open to any form of support from well-wishers to support the club’s activities.

“Even you, if you can help us, you are welcome. If you have someone who wants to come on board ask them to do so,” he said.

The team has endured tough financial times for close to 3 years but wesonga believes that Nakumatt Holdings has done its best.

They narrowly survived relegation last season and have only managed to secure one win in 7 matches this season.
