The County Government of Nakuru has embarked on the construction of staff houses for medical personnel in all the health facilities in the area.
The move is aimed at ensuring nurses and clinical officers live within the facilities they serve.
The housing project will ensure that all nurses and clinical officers serving in the dispensaries are housed within the facilities for smooth service delivery.
Plans are underway to construct staff houses for medical personnel stationed in all health facilities in Nakuru County in a move aimed at improving health services delivery.
The County chief officer for public health Samuel King’ori said all nurses serving in health centers and dispensaries will be required to live in the same compound for smooth service delivery.
King’ori said the construction work will start immediately and after completion will ensure residents are served round the clock as opposed to what it is currently happening.
“We are working with other stakeholders to ensure we construct the houses as a matter of urgency so that services are offered round the clock,” he said.
King’ori was speaking as he opened Munyu dispensary in Naivasha East Ward.
