Heavy rains Wednesday paralysed activities along the busy Narok- Mai Mahiu road after a section of the road caved in creating a gorge.
Police said that the affected area is four meters wide and it will take time to reconstruct. Motorists have been urged by police to use alternative roads particularly those using the Kisii and Narok route.
The Kenya National Highway Authority (KENHA) said they have already dispatched a team of engineers to assess the situation and help ease traffic.
