The National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP) is actively developing its new annual work plan for 2024/25. This effort, guided by Dr. Issak Bashir, Director of Family Health at the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Rose Wafula, Head of NASCOP, began with a workshop on June 4th. The focus is on efficiency, teamwork, and transparency.
Dr. Bashir highlighted the importance of incorporating a mental wellness program to tackle work-related challenges, assuring the team of the Ministry’s continued support through technical assistance and human capital. Dr. Wafula commended the team for their resilience in overcoming obstacles and achieving outstanding results. She emphasized the critical need for increased investment in human resources and infrastructure to effectively fulfill NASCOP’s mandate.
The new annual work plan highlights NASCOP’s dedication to combating HIV/AIDS and STIs.
