The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa is purring at the progress shown by the Kenya national team Harambee Stars and especially after the 1 – 0 win over Liberia in the international friendly staged at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani on Tuesday 15 November.
The president stated his confidence in the team, emanating from the organization in the team and he noted that his office has a plan to improve on the facilities available for the national teams so the federation can cut costs as well as giving the teams the best treatment they can get yet.
He further lauded the coaching staff for a professional handling of the team.
“The national team is now well organized and I am impressed with the general progress of the team but we are not there yet. We still have plans to have our own facilities. We have a proposal that under FIFA Forward program at the Goal Project to have a three or four star facility because every month now we have at least two teams in camp so we want to save on accommodation.
“By 2019 we want to have it all ready and a bus for the national teams to sort out the transport requirements.
“I am also impressed by the technical stuff the coaches are doing behind the scenes; it is amazing and the result we have not lost in eight matches,” he said.
