Residents of Nyandarua County have been cautioned against forging land documents, an act which they indulge in to evade the lengthy process of acquiring the documents.
In his sentiments, Nyandarua and Samburu county lands’ registrar Charles Ayienda cautioned rogue brokers and surveyors who con residents of land transfer levies only to forge documents to evade paying for the process.
This comes after the arrest of a surveyor who had presented some forged land control board documents at the Nyahururu registry in the hope that he would help his client transfer the land from a seller.
Simon Chege, a surveyor based in Ol Kalou was arrested after he turned up at the registry to pick the title deed, and confessed to having downloaded and printed the consent, signed and stamped it on behalf of the Nyandarua Central DCC. Gideon Oyagi.
