ODM FALL OUT IN BONCHARI

A fall out in ODM candidate’s support  for Bonchari by election appears to be in the offing after a section of the party’s youths   pulled out to rally behind a Jubilee party  contestant Zepedeo Opore.

The disgruntled youths  were said to have taken the move after the party avoided conducting nominations and instead picked directly  a candidate, Pavel Oimeke, a former Energy and Petroleum  Regulatory Authority CEO.

They claimed it was in line with the ‘Hand-shake’ initiative coined by President Uhuru Kenyatta and party leader Raila Odinga.

But another ODM youth league youths   dismissed the renegade members as ‘masqueraders’ vowing to have them  face the party disciplinary organ.

The youth league  accused the rival members    of impersonation by  printing  and donning party t- shirts to sanitize their course.

Speaking at Suneka, Denis  Omosoti challenged them to quit the party  saying the league will  support  Oimeke until he won the seat in the  May 18th by election.

He  termed the  disenchanted  youths as ‘ defectors’  who should either  reform or ship-out.

Vena Bosibori told  the dissatisfied  youths  to conduct issue- based election campaign  and shun spreading rumours.

Vincent Oyaro said the ODM party  machinery in the by-election was still intact and that the youth league knew who its genuine  members were.

Bonchari seat which attracted 13 candidates  became vacant following the death of former MP John Oroo Oyioka.

This was another by election where Jubilee and ODM  parties will not support a  compromised candidate.
