The ministry of sport in collaboration with the embassy of Argentina has introduced a new sport called Cestoball at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Speaking during the Launch Mrs Natalia Lorena representing the ambassador to Argentina said the sport was to improve sports amongst Kenyans.
Cestoball is a sport that was born in Argentina, which has eventually spread over the years to other countries, and today the Argentina government has officially launched the Cestoball Kenya Federation in recognition of the sport.
“We wish all the best to the federation especially to the young players that can learn this very nice sport” Natalia noted.
The president for Kenya Cestoball Federation Mr. Lawrence Adera applauded Natalia’s sentiments by saying the sport has come at the right time when the government has just introduced the new curriculum education CBC.
“This sport cestoball I learnt of it during the Kenya University Women Championship ,I was approached by a lady called Eunice who told my friends and I to try out a new sport which was Cestaball whose rules were just as those for netball.”
