Rose Adhiambo, the woman who was allegedly impregnated and abandoned by the late Cabinet Minister William ole Ntimama has finally come out to air her sentiments.
Rose Adhiambo turned up at Mr Ole Ntimama’s burial on Wednesday in the company of her supposed son George Njoroge Kariuki alias George Njoroge Ntimama and were both kept away from the family’s main tent.
After almost 60-years, Ms Odhiambo was still bitter over how the deceased veteran politician left her in the lurch when she was pregnant with Njoroge.
More so, she was angry for being treated like an outsider when she went to pay her last respect to the father of his 60-year-old son.
“I want to make this statement to those people who sire children outside marriage. We have a right to attend this funeral. This is unfair and unjust, Adhiambo said.
Ms Adhiambo and Njoroge were left to follow events at the highly-attended burial from screens projected outside the main tent.
Last week, Njoroge moved to the High Court to block the burial until he was able to get a tissue specimen from the deceased’s body to prove Ntimama was his father
In his suit, Njoroge said that the deceased politician fathered him in 1956 but later dumped his mother shortly after his birth.
He added that he was raised by a single mum despite the fact that his father was a prominent person, having served as a councillor, Member of Parliament, and later as Cabinet Minister.
However, the court dismissed him stating that there was no urgency in getting DNA tests that would require the burial to be stopped.
Judge Joseph Onguto said that the motive guiding Kariuki’s orders was unclear, considering that Kariuki’s lawyer insisted that his client and the deceased had been in touch, only that Mr Njoroge had not been introduced to the Ntimama family.
According to Justice Onguto, the test could have been carried out in the last one year.
