One person was killed and seven others injured in a fight between supporters of Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang and those of nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro in Mathare slums, Nairobi.
Chaos erupted after the MP’s supporters stormed a meeting presided over by Ongoro on Wednesday.The body was moved to the mortuary, while the injured were taken to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Ongoro is vying for the Ruaraka parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket which the incumbent Kajwang is fiercely defending.
