Ouma affirms that Starlets team has a lot to do

Starlets head Coach, David Ouma, has said that the Kenya National Women team together with its management have a lot to do.

This is after the Harambee Starlets arrived back from African Women Cup of Nations where they finished last in their group after losing in all games.

“Teams like Nigeria and Ghana are very well experienced and we realized that there were some mistakes we were making because of our lack of exposure,” said Ouma.

“We now plan on training hard and playing in several friendlies with bigger teams, as a way of helping us shake off the fears we had in Cameroon.”

Among the areas of concern for Ouma is the sloppiness that his team presented in defense, allowing opponents to getting easy free kicks, but he says he will be dealing with the weakness.

“We noticed that we were giving away too many free kicks, which eventually cost us, but we shall be working on that once we resume camp,” said Ouma.
