OVER 74,000 CANDIDATES TO SIT FOR KCPE AND KPSEA EXAMS IN MIGORI COUNTY

74,571 KPSEA and KCPE candidates sit for their exams in Migori

A total of 37,596 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and 36,984 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) students will be sitting for their Exams in Migori.

Suna East Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Benson Karani who stood in for the county Commissioner said that the county has prepared security wise to ensure that they deliver credible exams in 804 centers for KPSEA and 306 centers for KCPE in 12 sub counties.

18,954 boys and 18,642 girls will be sitting for their KPSEA exams while 18,645 boys and 18,339 girls will be undertaking the KCPE.

Karani said that the county has 12 examination containers in the county that are strategically located to serve with ease the 12 Sub Counties.

The number of boys in this year’s exams will be higher as compared to their counterparts. 37,590 boys will be sitting for both KPSEA and KCPE as compared to 36,981 girls.

Karani noted that they have properly arranged for the exams and they have already briefed the center managers on the same.

The administrator noted that the examinations will be administered by a multi-agency team comprising administration officers, sub county directors, center managers and invigilators.

Karani asked the center managers and security officials to be vigilant to ensure their centers are secure to provide fair and credible exams. He said that there will be serious consequences for those will try to engage in examination irregularities, ranging from examination results to persecution of perpetrators.

“We want to assure our candidates of a secure and conducive environment as they undertake their exams. We have given firm instructions to our officers to deal with anyone who may pause threats to peace and security during the exam process”, affirmed Karani.
