Even as schools reopen after closure of one week, parents are a worried lot as the struggle to raise school fees to send their kids to school.Richard Cherutich, a Charts Vendor in Kabarnet says following the adverse effects of Covid-19 affecting the economy is a thorn in the flesh to raise school fees for his two kids in secondary.
Cherutich blamed Covid-19 which has affected his business and the holiday was to short for him to raise school fees saying he has tried all what he could to raise school fees.
While launching 30 Million bursary for needy students in Baringo County, Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis blamed Covid-19 which has affected economy making parents unable to raise school fees.
More than 3000 students are benefiting from the scheme in the county.
