In a chilling incident that has left the Huruma community in shock, DCI detectives are investigating a gruesome murder after a routine police patrol uncovered body parts belonging to a young woman.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at around 5 a.m. during their final patrol near Kelly Towers in Huruma, officers from the Huruma Police Patrol team intercepted a man, John Kiama Wambua, 29, carrying a suspiciously heavy backpack.
Suspicious of its contents, the officers searched and were horrified to discover mutilated human remains.
On initial questioning, Wambua admitted the body parts belonged to his wife, 19-year-old Joy Fridah Munani.
Wambua who appeared unperturbed by the discovery led the officers to his house where the other body parts were recovered under his bed.
Disturbingly, detectives established that some body parts were still missing. Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) detectives processed the site and collected evidence for further analysis.
“In the single room with a bloody floor of which no scene could be more horrendous, the officers also recovered a sharp knife and the victim’s clothes soaked in blood. Also established was that some body parts were still missing,” the DCI said.
The person in question has been arrested and is set to confront murder charges as investigators escalate their efforts to locate the missing body parts and determine the motive for this atrocious crime.
This incident has generated significant fear and anger among community members, who are demanding prompt justice for the young victim. The investigation is still active, with law enforcement committed to revealing the complete details of this horrific act.
