The infant’s safe return comes after a tense and distressing search, which culminated in the arrest of a relative suspected of involvement in the child’s disappearance.
The incident began when Maurine’s mother reported that she had left her daughter in the care of a relative while she briefly stepped out to a nearby barber shop.
Upon her return, she was devastated to find that both the relative and her child had vanished without a trace.
Alarmed by the disappearance, the mother filed a report at the police station, prompting an immediate and thorough investigation.
