A popular restaurant in the coastal region was yesterday razed down by a huge fire that broke out near the Malindi Law Courts destroying property of unknown value.
Sailfish Club was consumed in the huge inferno said to have originated from the Restaurant and then spread to neighbouring buildings.The fire did not spread to the law courts but two posh homes were burnt down.
Malindi firefighters in collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross Society managed to extinguish the fire preventing further damage.According to reports one person was rushed to Malindi sub-county hospital with deep cut wounds but no further injuries were reported.
