Nzoia Sugar from Bungoma County succumbed to a 2-1 lose to Poster Rangers in a Sportpesa Premier League match today at Ruaraka Grounds.
Despite an early red card to the Rangers man Luke Ochieng, the millers couldn’t secure even a draw on the least.
Posta found the net 25 minutes into the game with a goal from their talisman Dennis Mukaisi.
This was quickly followed by a red card to Luke Ochieng.
Nzoia Sugar spent the rest of second half trying to find the net with their efforts including the introduction of Luke Namanda and Brian Yakhama.
Their bubble was burst with a late penalty to Posta that was converted by Joseph Mbugi at the 74th minute. The game was now 2-0.
Nzoia’s Technical bench had to bring in Patrick Kitwonda to avoid further shame in the 80th minute.
There was relief to Nzoia Fans when the millers scored in the 87th minute but this was not enough.
In a shameful incident,Posta Rangers Goal Keeper Matasi was given a red card for wasting time in the dying minutes of the game for wasting time.
The game however ended 2-1 a result that saw Posta Rangers lead the Sportpesa Premier League with 29 points ahead of Gor Mahia who have 28 points with a game in hand.
In another match Tusker FC missed their chance to top the league after loosing 1-0 to Western Stima.
