At the annual National Prayer Breakfast held in Nairobi, leaders from across the political, religious, and civic spectrum came together in a solemn gathering to thank God for the progress Kenya is making and to reaffirm their shared commitment to national unity, peace, and prosperity.

In a reflective address at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Ruto welcomed guests and highlighted the event’s tradition of fostering unity and reflection since 2003.

The theme, “Rise and Rebuild,” served as a call to renew national ideals, drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Nehemiah’s efforts to rebuild Jerusalem.

President Ruto emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in the ongoing process of rebuilding Kenya’s society, economy, and relationships. He expressed gratitude for the economic progress achieved, including the reduction of inflation and the stabilization of the exchange rate, acknowledging the contributions of all Kenyans.

The President also noted the successes in the agricultural sector, attributing them to favourable weather conditions and increased production.

“We thank God for what He is doing for our country. Our ongoing efforts to rebuild Kenya are steadily becoming evident. Our economy is stable, and our projects and programmes continue to impact the lives of Kenyans,” stated President Ruto.

President Ruto’s speech underscored the government’s commitment to improving education and healthcare, pointing to the increasing number of citizens registered for universal healthcare.

“To sustain this momentum, we must work together and build bridges that will make us more equal, more inclusive and more prosperous,” noted President Ruto.

The affordable housing program was also highlighted as a key initiative aimed at providing dignified living conditions for more Kenyans.

The President concluded with confidence in Kenya’s future, stressing the importance of unity in securing blessings and paraphrasing biblical verses to reinforce this message.
