President Ruto To Launch Raila’s AUC Candidacy Next Week-PCS Mudavadi

President William Ruto is set to formally launch Raila Odinga’s African Union Commission (AUC) Chairmanship bid on 27th August 2024 next week.

“It is also programmed that next week, August 27, 2024, His Excellency President William Ruto will be formally launching the candidacy of the Kenyan Candidate in the name of Raila Odinga,” the Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi said.

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi while addressing the press after having discussions over former Prime Minister Raila Odinga AUC bid, he encouraged all Kenyans to support the Azimio party leader.

“To fellow Kenyans, as a nation, we have always come together to stand with our own whether on the tracks, field or the global stage. Just as we cheered our athletes in the Olympics, let us lend our full support to Raila as he carries the Kenyan flag high in the race for the chairmanship of the African Union Commission. This is more than a candidacy, it is a national mission,” the Prime CS said.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary expressed his confident with the coalition party leader noting that he has represented values and aspirations for the country  that qualifies him for the AU bid.

“Hon Raila Odinga represents Kenya’s voice, values and aspirations on the continent. As he steps forward, let us stand with him, not just as a government but as a united people,” PCS Mudavadi reiterated.

“Our candidate is undoubtedly experienced and well prepared to participate in the live debate to engage the african people on how to propel continental growth and ensure Africa achieves its goals of African intergration and sustainable development thus making our continent a major player in global arena,” stated the Prime CS.

The PCS applauded Kenya Kwanza administration for the endorsement and support for Raila Odinga in his bid for the AUC chairmanship position.

In July Kenya submitted Raila Odinga’s application documents  for the top job at the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Azimio leader have received support by different leaders from the continent in his AUC bid.
