Prof. James Kalia Representative of the University of America has led the graduation of 25 Graduates who graduated in different PHD degrees from the University of America at the graduation ceremony that was held at Ololulunga Full gospel Church in narok south.
During his speeches after he issued certificates to the graduates, prof. Kalia called for Kenyans to remain united and avoid being divided by politicians who always do that for their own interests. Their aim is to disrupt unity among Kenyans. He called on the church to be in the front-line to preach peace especially during this time where we have BBI and also when the country is about to get in the 2022 election mood. He said, ‘this country needs peace and Kenyans should avoid fighting anymore because of politicians’.
He added that Kenyans forgave each other on what happened after the 2007 general election and that what is needed is for the church to be the pillar of peace and teach Kenyans the importance of having peace.
His sentiment was echoed by the President of The University of America in Kenya Alpayo Omesa who said even if this country gets a new constitution and there is no peace then BBI will do nothing. ”The BBI is just trying to help those rich leaders by creating position for them who have been in power for so long and it is not coming to help a common mwananchi”, He said. Alpayo Omesa called on Kenyans to unite and work together since politician do not have the common Kenyan time but do things to help themselves. He said even the government is confusing Kenyans when they say there should be no gatherings but the same government has been on BBI meetings and political gatherings. The government needs to be straight on what its telling Kenyans. He said.
He added the so-called dynasty who have been looting this country are the same people coming with the BBI to make sure they remain in power and stay in big positions in the country.
Dr bishop Nakola also called for peace in the country. ”Where politicians are taking this country, they are going to divide Kenyans. The time has come for Kenyans to realize politicians do not care for them instead they care for themselves”, he said.
