PROPERTY WORTH MILLIONS LOST AS FIRE GUTS TWO DORMITORIES AT TENGECHA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL.

Property worth millions of shillings was lost today early morning at Tengecha Girls Secondary School in Bureti sub-county, Kericho County after fire razed down Mt. Kenya and Mt. Longonot dormitories.

According to Samuel Koros, board member of the school, the fire started around 5;30 am when the students had already gone to the class and no injuries were reported.

A total of 83 students lost their property which includes clothes, mattresses, boxes, books and other items and nothing was salvaged during the incident.

Koros said community turned up to assist put off the fire before fire engines from Kericho and Bomet arrived.

Investigations to establish the cause of the fire is ongoing.
