The Energy Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced the latest pump prices that will be in effect until 14th of June.
EPRA on Tuesday announced the reduced prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene by Sh1.30, Sh1, and Sh1.20 per litre respectively.
In Capital Nairobi, super petrol will retail at Sh192.84, diesel at Sh179.18 and Kerosene at Sh168.76 from 15th May midnight to 14th June.
“The prices are inclusive of the 16 per cent Value Added Tax in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” read the statement in part.
Director General Daniel Kiptoo, revealed that the landed cost of Super Petrol increased by 3.82 per cent between March and April while the landing cost of Diesel decreased by 0.46 per cent.
Meanwhile, the landing cost of Kerosene reduced by 0.050 per cent during that period.
In April, EPRA reduced fuel prices as well.
A litre of super petrol decreased by Sh5.31, diesel by Sh10 per litre while kerosene was cut by Sh18.68 per litre.
