Raila Blames Senior Jubilee officials for “blocking” dialogue.

In an open letter addressed to the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, the ODM party leader said that challenges facing the country have worsened since Jubilee took over the power.

“Mr. President, members of coalition for the reforms and Democracy have found it necessary to resort to the exercise of the rights secured by our Constitution under article 37 and 38 to ring the attention of your administration to the dangers that this continued cavalier attitude towards the grave concerns of the Mwananchi ported to the future of nation,” read the letter.

Through the letter, Odinga requested to have a dialogue with Mr. President.

“We have written a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta asking for dialogue on an all-inclusive process. We have a number of concerns that should be addressed before the next polls,” said Raila.

Raila Odinga has however accused senior members of the Jubilee administration of coming in and ‘blocking’ dialogue between the opposition and Uhuru Kenyatta

“In annex to this letter a copy of letter I wrote to you on 20th June 2014 selling out the issues as they stood then. I wish to note that each of the issues I raised with you have assumed a more calamitous dimension over the last two years of your silence and tragic national history appears set to repeat itself.”

“On behalf of CORD fraternity, I hereby renew this call and restate the commitment of the members of Cord to an orderly and peaceful deliberation on our challenges.”

This comes a short while after their second anti-IEBC protests were foiled by the police who fired teargas and also used water cannons to disperse the crowd on Monday.
