Residents of Gwa Kungu area, Ndaragwa in Nyandarua County are a distraught lot after a multi-million dam recently commissioned bursts its banks, letting go of their only hope.
The residents accused the contractor of a shoddy job done on the 100, 000 cubic meters dam that was almost filled, saying repairs needed to be done before the end of the ongoing rains.
The national irrigation board funded dam, constructed earlier this year to a cost of about 100 million, had in March been commissioned by agriculture and irrigation CS.
