Ruto Calls On Diaspora To Help Build Kenya

President Ruto has urged the Diaspora to contribute to the development and progress of Kenya.

Speaking at the Diaspora Tech Investment Expo and Engagement held at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, Georgia, President Ruto encouraged the Diaspora community to collaborate and work together to elevate Kenya to new heights.

The President, who is currently in the US for a State Visit at the invitation of his US counterpart, H.E President Joe Biden, said that Kenya’s economic transformation is at an advanced stage making each sector of the economy have a pull effect for investment opportunities across various sectors.

The head of state pledged to establish a diaspora board to safeguard and protect the investments made by the Kenyan Diaspora back home.

Various officials, including the First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto and representatives from the Government of Kenya, accompanied the President.

The State head also expressed his intention to strengthen the partnership between Kenya and the US, particularly in healthcare, including the local manufacturing of vaccines.

“The United States of America has been Kenya’s true ally in healthcare — from infrastructure, pioneering research to the tackling of infectious diseases. We intend to escalate this journey of partnership, including the local manufacturing of vaccines, for the prosperity of all,” the President wrote on X.

The state visit for two more days, focusing on the partnership between Kenya and America.
