A suicide car bomb attack is reported to have left many soldiers dead in Yemen.
The car is reported to have been driven into an army training camp in Yemen’s second city of Aden this morning where at least 45 people were killed according to locals sources.
A security official told AFP news agency that the attacker drove his vehicle into a gathering of new recruits at the camp in northern Aden on Monday.
The assault also left 29 wounded, medical sources from the three hospitals where the victims said. Security officials had provided an earlier toll of 11 dead, AFP.
At least 45 dead bodies were taken to a hospital run by Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in the city, according to Reuters.
An official said: “Security services are still evacuating the dead and wounded.”
Yemen has been in the grip of a war between the Saudi-backed government and rebels for 17 months.
ISIS has said it is behind this latest atrocity.
