A group of MPs have assured Kenyans that personal data will no longer be misused once a bill before parliament is finally enacted.
This even as the departmental committee on Communication Information and Innovation (CII) is on a mission to fast-track data protection bill to stop those misusing personal information.
Addressing Mombasa residents at the Kenya School of Government in Mombasa yesterday, Bumula Member of Parliament Mwambu Mabonga who led the other committee members in a public hearing session said Kenya has no specific law on data protection and hence the growing cases of misuse of personal information.
