SECURITY SEA PATROL MOTORBIKES.

Tourist Police Unit Mombasa sector has received 10 motorbikes from the Federal republic of German to help police patrol easily along the beaches of the coastal region. Addressing the press after handing over the bikes, ambassador of the federal republic of German Sebastian Groth said his government is committed to enhancing the relations of the two nations and the motorbikes will improve police efficiency and protection of tourists.

As the Country heads to the festivity season, Groth has assured German tourists that Kenya is safe for visit and his country is not planning to issue any security alerts, however cautioned them to be vigilant.

Groth added that Kenya is a re-known tourist destination and the country receives at least 70 thousand German tourists annually.

Tourist Police Commander Paul Soi lauded the German government for their support saying it will go a long way in enhancing day and night patrols, response to crime search and rescue missions in the tourist resort city.

The commander has appealed for more patrol motorbikes to be deployed in counties of Lamu, Kilifi and Kwale as a way of bolstering security along the coastal line.
