Several people are feared dead after a bus heading to Mombasa collided head-on with a petroleum tanker.
The accident occurred around Mundika High School in Busia. The Tahmeed bus from Kampala was en route to Mombasa when the accident occurred. Authorities are yet to comment on the matter.
Witnesses at the scene allege that almost everyone on the bus has succumbed to the tragedy. However, rescue efforts are underway.
Videos circulating on social sharing platforms show the charred remains of victims at the scene which were strewn at the scene.
