Barely 48 hours after the famous Baringo Snake master was laid to rest at his Kampi Samaki home in the outskirts of Lake Baringo, a huge python has been found inside his house an incident that has left many residents shocked.
Ewei Nakorot alias Dr.William who was born in 1935 in Turkana,started working with Jonathan Leaky as snake tracker where he could capture snake for milking venom and showcasing python to tourist who frequent lake Baringo,after being bitten by snake instead of staying away from snake he become a professional venom milker to save lives after his friend died of snake bite until his death.
After his burial which was on Thursday barely 48 hours a huge python was found inside his house in what locals say its coming to mourn the famous snake handler who spent most of his time handling the venomous reptiles in different parts of the country before starting a snake park at the shores of Lake Baringo.
Family say that the appearance of the huge python at his house might be a sign that the old man was a good friend of the snakes since he used to take good care of them by championing against the killing of the snakes in the community because he saw them as a source of revenue.
His wife, Esther Ekoi said his husband has returned home as snake saying it was a sign of blessing and they will treat the snake well.
Ewei’s family is synonymous with snakes since his wife treats victims of snakebites while two of his sons have taken up from him as professional snake handlers.
