Sholei announce her interest for Women Rep in Uasin Gishu

Former Judiciary Chief Registrar Gladys Boss Shollei has expressed her interest in politics.

Sholei declared that she is interested and will vie for the Uasin Gishu Women Representative position.

The former JCR announced the move at her home in Segero, Uasin Gishu County.

In one of her manifestos, Ms Sholleisaid that she would focus on matters affecting pastoralists and farmers in the country.

Originally from Elgeyo Marakwet, Glady’s family did bee-keeping, dairy farming and kept chicken.

With the current political heat, marauding speculation indicates that she may either vie through Kanu or Jubilee.

“I will soon launch my plan including my manifesto, which the people of Uasin Gishu will use to hold me to account,” she said on Monday.

“I was appalled when I saw Members of Parliament from this region demonstrating over  maize prices.”

“The residents ought to have demonstrated  against the elected leaders because they have failed to pass legislation to cushion farmers against prices,” Sholei said earlier.
