Son to the five-time world cup winner passes away

Cafu’s eldest son Danilo Feliciano de Moraes passes away at the age of 30 on Wednesday as a result of a heart attack while playing soccer at his family’s home in Barueri, metropolitan Sao Paulo.

The information was confirmed by four-time champion and Cafu’s close friend Paulo Sergio. Sergio said  Danilo felt bad after playing for ten minutes, was taken to the Albert Einstein Hospital’s Alphaville unit where he died

Danilo was the oldest of three children of the World Cup winner – who was regarded as the best right back in the game for a decade.

Sao Paulo, the Brazilian club where 49-year-old Cafu started his career, were quick to send a message of support to one of their greatest ever players.

They said: “Sao Paulo Futebol Clube deeply regrets the death of Danilo, son of Cafu.
