Sonko vows to demonstrate in Lebanon Saudi Arabia Embassies over Kenyan Ladies mistreatments by employers.

The flamboyant Nairobi Senator, Gideon Mbuvi (Sonko) expressed his disgust over the incidence whereby an arsonist, an employer, torched Mary Kibwana Kamango using a gas cylinder leaving her severely injured in Jordan.

“I had the opportunity of meeting the family of the innocent young Kenyan lady Mary Kibwana Kamango in my office accompanied by Senator Emma Mbura. Mary suffered an arsonist attack by her employer while working in Jordan, Lebanon in the middle east,” Sonko Wrote on his Facebook post.

According to Sonko through his post, Mary who was attending her duties received the burns after her employer set up the gas cylinder deliberately causing the fire that left her nursing serious burns.

“…today we started doing a thorough follow up on the case. Our investigation revealed that on 17th April 2016 while Mary was attending to her normal duties her employer deliberately set up the gas cylinder causing fire that injured her severely.”

Mary is said to have been rescued by her neighbors who overheard her calling for help in pan but they managed to put off the fire. Later that day, her boss is said to have confiscated her mobile phone leaving her family in darkness.

“It took several days before her family got information of her tragedy. The cell phone number for her employer who set ablaze our Kenyan sister is +962795681190. Due to the nature of Mary’s injuries, she was transferred back to Kenya.
Mary had suffered serious burns forcing the hospital to repatriate her to her Mother country and she was received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport earlier today by Sonko Rescue Team and taken to Kenyatta national Hospital or special treatment.

“Upon her arrival, my ambulance team managed to transport her to kenyatta hospital for treatment as a report was made at the CID offices JKIA,” Sonko Wrote.

The senator who is scheduled to meet the foreign affairs cabinet secretary to intervene in this case has also vowed to mobilize and lead several women to demonstrate peacefully to the Lebanese and Saudi Arabian embassies if the demand for explanations on why Kenyan ladies are subjected to such torture in Middle East is not met.

“We shall try our level best to seek for justice in a diplomatic way but if we dont get an explanation as to why our Kenyan sisters and women have been subjected to this kind of torture and suffering in the middle east countries, i shall mobilise thousands of our Kenyan women and lead a peacefull demostration to the LEBANESE and SAUDIA ARABIAN embasies to demand for their closure.

Mary is recuperating from the severe burns that she suffered at the Kenyatta hospital. During his visit to Mary and other Patients in the same floor, Sonko promised to settle the bills for some patients who had been stranded for months due to lack of money to settle their medical bills.

“ I was touched to find some patients majority kids and their mothers stranded for months due to lack of payment and promised to assist in settling their medical bills tomorrow once the cash offices are opened.”
