David Ouma, the starlets’ coach was a satisfied with the ladies national team, Harambee Starlets, which thrashed Moroccan Botola Pro League side Khenifra 6-1 in a friendly match played on Monday, October 17 in Rabat.
Starlets’ Neddy Atieno registered her name in the score sheets in a heroinic way after netting a hat trick that set the team rolling.
Christine Nafula, teams Captain Mary Kinuthia, and Elizabeth Ambogo found the net to make the goals tally 6.
Starlets who had been sidelined to play against Moroccan national team were forced to test the skills with Botola Pro League side after it emerged that, majority of the team players were participating in Moroccan National Military games.
“When we started, there was a lot of inconsistency, but we have stabilized and the girls are yielding great results. We shall keep working hard, and with time, this will be the team to beat in Africa and the rest of the world,” Ouma hailed the women national team.
The starlets had earlier bagged another win on Saturday after the Kenyan girls crashed Wydad Casablanca in a goal thriller match that ended 8-1.
The starlets will be facing Cameroon for a friendly match on Saturday, October 22 and are expected back in Kenya on Thursday.
