The national women football team Harambee Starlets is set to resume residential training at the Stadion Hotel in Kasarani ahead of their first leg Olympic qualifier match against Zambia on November 8th 2019.
According to the Football Kenya Federation, the ministry of sports through the cabinet secretary Ambassador Amina Mohammed has assured the federation that budgetary requests regarding the team’s upcoming fixture against Zambia will be catered for.
At the same time, the government through the national sports fund has released 3.9 million to FKF this being part of the 17 million budget requested by the football governing body.
A refuting report from Ps Kaberia who is in France attending a UNESCO conference on anti-doping indicated that the ministry has only agreed to allow the girls to be accommodated at the Stadion Hotel while they train at the Kasarani Stadium since the two facilities are owned by the government.
