Deputy President William Ruto has challenged politicians to ethically handle the process of selection of IEBC officials.
The DP noted that leaders are politicising the choice of the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials by the selection panel and asked them to stop that.
Ruto made the remarks while addressing a delegation of leaders from Lugari, Malava and Likuyani constituencies in Kakamega County at his Sugoi home in Uasin Gishu County
According to DP, the way leaders are looking at the new commissioners selection process is from a tribal perspective hence should stop it and act like professionals.
“The onus is on leaders from the grassroots to national level to preach unity and build bridges across communities,” the Deputy President said yesterday.
