The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the election of Nyamira and Embu Governors. Lenny Kivuti moved to Supreme Court after the court of Appeal on 17 August 2018 upheld the election of Governor Martin Wambora.
Wambora has survived several court cases and impeachment since 2013.
Walter Nyambati had moved to supreme court after Appeal Court upheld theelection of governor John Nyagarama. A five-judge bench ruled that Nyagarama was validly elected dismissing Walter Nyambati’s petition that pointed out massive irregularities and illegalities in the August 2017 poll.
