Mombasa police station attack suspects arraigned in court

The  suspects who had been arrested in connection to Mombasa Police station attack were today arraigned in court where they were expected to be charged.

However, the three women, the did not take charge and were detained in due to lack of Somali interpreter.

Police had shot dead three suspects who had attacked the police station in Mombasa by hurling a petrol bomb at the station’s reception following an argument with an officer.

“One woman attacked stabbed a male policeman twice, while another hurled a petrol bomb at the report officer personnel,” said Mr Maelo after the attack.

A preliminary report had indicated that they claimed they wanted to report the loss of mobile phones.

Three female accomplices, Saeda Ali Haji, Naema Nahamed Ahmed and Shukri Ali Haji were traced in Kibokoni in Mombasa and arrested to help police ascertain those behind the foiled attack.
