Three suspected suspects, female, were today shot dead at Mombasa police station.
According to Mombasa County Commander Paterson Maelo said that the women attacked a policeman and hurled a petrol bomb at the station’s reception following an argument with an officer.
“One woman attacked stabbed a male policeman twice, while another hurled a petrol bomb at the report officer personnel,” said Mr Maelo.
“General Service Unit officers and bomb experts have been deployed to the station to ensure the women don’t have explosives on their bodies,” noted Mr Maelo.
A preliminary report indicated they claimed they wanted to report the loss of mobile phones.
Two of the women were shot dead at the report office and the third one as she attempted to escape.
Maelo said one of the suspects had hurled a petrol bomb inside the station, starting a fire.
