” The Community has a right to access school buses,” Munyaka tells Magoha

Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka has asked Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha to go easy on his directive on use of school buses by communities.
Speaking at Kikumbo Secondary school in his constituency where he handed over a bus for the institution, Dr Munyaka said the policy on use of school buses should be designed to accommodate the community, which he said includes parents.
“We understand the need to impose strict rules on use of school vehicles but it is important for the CS to appreciate the fact that parents contribute to purchase the vehicles and should not be denied access to the vehicles,” he said.
He said revenues collected from hiring out of school buses can also be channeled to other infrastructure development in learning institutions.
On UDA’s victory in the recently concluded Kiambaa by election, Munyaka said it was evident that Kenyans had shifted from tribal-based politics to issues centered politics,” he said.
He said UDA, which is associated with deputy president William Ruto was keen on uniting all Kenyans to forge progressive unity ahead of 2022 general election.
