Thieves from Kayole broke into Equity Bank undetected and made away with cash on Saturday.
Despite being heavily guarded, the crime was only detected on Sunday around 3pm.
The ICT team, according to the bank manager, Mr. Crispo Maina, the branch ATM signal was down.
This followed a message to an employee, Mr. Simon Kuria to go and check only to report that the ATM pad was tampered with.
The server room two big safes and teller safes had been also broken into.
The thieves made away with unknown value of money.
Criminals are said to have drilled a wall into the bank.
When they found their way in, they disabled CCTV and alarms.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
