A Rabbi, who prayed for US President Donald Trump before last year’s election, has dedicated Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s re-election bid to God. Messianic Rabbi Kirt Schneider was among the 40 religious leaders who blessed the US President’s race at Trump Tower ahead of the November 8, 2016 election. The Rabbi,, who is on a four-day visit, met the Governor at City Hall.
“I am here to pray for the Governor to be re-elected. I will also pray for a peaceful election and unity in the country,” Schneider said on Tuesday.
He also prayed for members of Kidero’s Cabinet. Deputy governor Jonathan Mueke, chief of staff George Wainaina, housing executive Tom Odongo were among officials present.
Schneider is also scheduled to meet 300 priests in Nakuru. The Rabbi, noted that he has had a programme on Family TV for the last four years and that he has been in Kenya a number of times.
Schneider has been involved with the African Divine Ministry since 1982. He announced that he will hold a major crusade in Nairobi next year and that he will pray for Kidero to attend the event.
“I am praying that the Lord may see you through so that you can attend the crusade as governor,” Schneider said.
